This plan covers medical expenses related to pre-existing diseases (PEDs) such as asthma, hypertension, cholesterol, and diabetes starting from the 31st day of the policy. It is a great option if you want a plan that provides comprehensive coverage as well as a variety of unique benefits and features. From the first day of coverage, your base sum insured will be doubled under this plan. The plan allows you to pay your premiums monthly and covers several costs including the cost of consumables, dental treatment, maternity expenses, OPD expenses, i.e., day-to-day expenses for medicines, tests, consultations, etc. On the flip side, however, it is more expensive in comparison to other plans in the market. Further, as per our research, the insurer has received fewer claim settlement complaints but a higher number of policy purchase complaints.

The New India Yuva Bharat (Platinum) Plan is fairly priced compared to other products in the market. It covers a range of expenses, including those related to infertility, pregnancy, and child care, and is one of the few policies to include coverage for congenital diseases (both internal and external), hazardous sports, puberty and menopause-related disorders. It also gives you the flexibility to pay premium on a monthly basis. However, the policy doesn't cover treatments taken at home and covers only a few listed day care treatments. Speaking of purchase and claims experience, you are likely to have a pleasant experience with the insurer as they received fewer claim settlement and policy purchase complaints.
